Teens involved in fatal Canberra skate park brawl returned to scene, bought fast food and saw police arrive, court hears

Two of the people involved in a fatal fight at a Canberra skate park returned to the scene, buying a meal from a fast food outlet across the road and witnessing police begin their investigations, the ACT Supreme Court has heard.

A boy who was 15 at the time is on trial for murdering an 18-year-old during an organised fight at the Weston Creek Skate Park, which was sparked by an angry exchange on Snapchat.

The teenager has pleaded guilty to stabbing the victim's 16-year-old cousin, who survived his injuries, but has denied he murdered anyone.

Today, a witness told the court that he had pulled the victim from the car and started to bash him after he arrived at the park with a group of friends.
