Canberra woman charged with hitting man with car at Mount Ainslie lookout

 A Canberra woman has appeared in the ACT Magistrates Court charged with hitting a man with a car at a lookout in June.

Mystery surrounded the discovery of the man at the popular Mount Ainslie lookout, after he was found lying on the road with critical injuries on June 3.

He was treated by paramedics at the scene before being taken to Canberra Hospital, where he remained in a critical condition for several days.

Skywhale hot air balloon grounded after developing tear 'in one of her breasts'

Canberra hot air balloon sculpture Skywhale has been grounded and is set to undergo repairs after developing a tear "in one of her breasts" in Ballarat this weekend. The famous balloon and its partner, Skywhalepapa, were both in Ballarat as part of the touring Every Heart Sings project, but were deflated before lift-off due to the damage Skywhale sustained.
