ACT records nine new COVID-19 cases as more students return to campus

 The ACT has recorded nine new cases of COVID-19, with 88 per cent of Canberrans aged 12 and over now fully vaccinated.

There are currently 20 people in ACT hospitals with the virus, with 10 in intensive care units, and five people requiring ventilation.

Only a small number of negative test results were returned yesterday — 647.

Today about 41,000 school children returned to on-campus learning after months of remote education.

  1. Canberra is still in a better situation as compare to other cities in Australia but we can’t take it lightly. Government should close the schools for a month at least. Because the infection is still increasing in other cities and we shouldn’t take it lightly. We are getting new cases in school students which is not a good sign.
